2. Scope of This Policy

This policy applies to all students, faculty members, administrative staff, visitors, and contractors on the academy premises. It covers all activities, including training, assessments, events, and everyday operations.

Academy Management:

  • Overall accountability for health and safety

Health and Safety Officer:

  • Implement and monitor health and safety policies
  • Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments
  • Investigate incidents and near misses
  • Provide safety training and awareness programs

Trainers and Staff:

  • Follow all safety rules and procedures
  • Report any hazards or incidents to the Health and Safety Officer
  • Ensure students are aware of safety protocols

Students:

  • Comply with all health and safety instructions
  • Use safety equipment as directed
  • Report any concerns or incidents to staff

5. Key Safety Measures

We implement the following safety measures:

Fire Safety:

  • Fire extinguishers installed at strategic locations
  • Fire alarms and smoke detectors
  • Regular fire drills
  • Clearly marked fire exits

First Aid:

  • First-aid kits in classrooms, labs, and reception
  • Trained first-aiders on site
  • Emergency contact numbers displayed prominently

Electrical Safety:

  • Regular inspection of electrical installations
  • Proper earthing and maintenance
  • Awareness of electrical hazards

Emergency Preparedness:

  • Evacuation plans
  • Emergency exits and assembly points

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):

6. Risk Assessment

We conduct regular risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards. These assessments cover:

Risk assessments are reviewed and updated every six months or whenever significant changes occur.


7. Incident and Accident Reporting

All incidents, accidents, and near misses must be reported immediately to the Health and Safety Officer. We investigate all incidents to determine the root cause and prevent recurrence.

Reporting Procedure:

  • Inform the Health and Safety Officer or any staff member.
  • Complete an Incident Report Form (available at reception).
  • The Health and Safety Officer conducts an investigation.
  • Corrective actions are identified and implemented.
